Painting a Metal Locker

Getting a distressed look for the locker was pretty easy, because that blue is bright! It's also powder coated so it's stuck on there like glue.

Our pantry consisted of both these "lovely" lockers.

Two lockers fit all our food so neatly and it was a organized bliss. I'm, however, a little crazy and thought I could downsize even more! Cut that storage in half and have only one locker, what?!? For our entire pantry! Yes.

I painted inside but had the window and door open so ventilation wasn't an issue. First up, thin dry brush of primer. The powder coating ain't a joke, it's there to stay so work around it.

Next, switch to paint...I didn't use gray:) but a shade of white. Keep applying thin layers using dry brush technique (wipe your brush down periodically so that it isn't "wet" with paint) because dry brush leaves brush strokes so make sure to keep stroking in the same direction. ... Little kid giggling

Brushed horizontally on the doors and vertical on the frame.

A sneak peak ... We are redecorating,  again.

And one more photo of the locker, which you probably didn't even notice because of the overwhelming warrior cuteness of Iolaus on his 23rd day of life:)
Till next time y'all keep it green, clean, and classy.
P.s. Happy birthday week to my wonderful Momma, love ya
